Want to know the biggest point of ‘failure’ in the recruitment process?

…the biggest point of ‘failure’ is that initial outreach to a potential candidate.

Hence, my question. How do you as a ‘job seeker’ like to be approached?

Email?

Phone call?

  1. Personally, I prefer an email that’s obviously personalised, not a bulk one, which says something like

    “Hi Ewan, I’ve got a role I think you might be interested in. Here are some initial details:

    location
    rate/salary
    job description

    If you’re interested in hearing more about it, drop me an email with a good time for me to call you, or call me on XXX”

    Not that I get emails in this format very often!
