– Birth of multiple cloud service providers worldwide differentiated on geo or industry/vertical focus.

– Higher prices charged.

– IT channel/reseller becomes uber specialised to do onsite cloud plumbing for certain industries/verticals that will never ever buy off prem cloud services.

– Consolidation of cloud service industries into smaller group of global players. Differentiate on price/brand.

– Lower prices charged.

My advice. Invest in DC’s in low cost/tech savvy countries, e.g. India, Vietnam.
