Key things I’m looking for:

Technical hands on skills – not afraid to get elbow deep with technology

Current IT consultancy/reseller/systems integrator work experience

Happy to be first technical person in front of customers

Man management experience of other Technical Consultants/Project Managers

You have technical knowledge of SAAS, PAAS, IAAS cloud architectures

Technical skills include VMware/vSphere, Cisco, Wintel, RedHat/Linux etc

Majority of projects/engagements in the South East but can also be around UK.

Engagements can be OK Mr Customer your biz can come to our cloud or OK Mr Customer we can do onsite virtualisation/cloud plumbing.

There’s gold in the VMware & Storage fields!

 

• No. of VMware UK contract jobs up 14.40%
• No. of VMware UK permanent jobs up 6.87% & hits reporting period/year high of 825 jobs!

 

• No. of Storage UK contract jobs up 11.26%
• No. of Storage UK permanent jobs up 20.62% & hits reporting period/year high of 696 jobs!

 

Very interesting that the number of VMware & Storage permanent jobs have both risen across the last three reporting periods. These reporting periods span ‘summertime’ when traditionally there is a dip in the number of jobs! These stats could indicate that data centre transformation, cloud-ifying the datacentre to be a platform for providing ‘as a service’ type services (IAAS, PAAS, DAAS/VDI etc), is currently an area of much activity!

Very very very interesting – if I wasn’t an IT recruiter then I’d be cracking open my VMware & Storage books!

…how I wish I’d paid attention during Computing class!
